About

This is a binary of TA Spring, compiled on a Fedora 8 x86_64 box. You may need to install some extra libraries, but I'm sure you can figure it out. They're all in Fedora 8. It untars under /usr/local/

I also wanted to get this running on a Fedora 7 machine I had, so I copied over the missing dependencies from Fedora 8 to the library directories. You'll have to run ldconfig (and ensure /usr/local/lib64 and /usr/local/lib are in your ld.so.conf file or listed in a file under /etc/ld.so.conf.d/)

If the fonts are too small for you, edit the $HOME/.springrc file and change FontCharLast=223 to FontCharLast=185 and it should improve.

You need to populate the $HOME/.spring/ directory with MODs, maps, and perhaps some base files, depending on the MOD you're trying to use. You could try downloading my .spring directory (tar -xjf dotspring.tar.bz2 in your home directory) to get a kickstart.. but if you're new to TA Spring, you'll really have to read the Spring website.
